The pilot test of the i-blueculture research project was successfully completed today.
2 missions were carried out at the project pilot sites in Skopelos and Alonissos, in September and October, respectively.
The first phase of the pilot test took place at the CHRISTOFOROS modern shipwreck in Skopelos between 26 and 29 September, where at a depth of 42 meters temporary installation works were carried out to test the system.
The second phase followed between October 18-27 with the test of the i-blueculture system at the project pilot site in Peristera in Alonissos. During the underwater works, cameras of the nous.com.gr system were temporarily placed at a depth of 50 meters, which transmitted the image to a photovoltaic base station on the nearby coast.
The image is projected onto the 3D model of the 3,000 amphorae of the 11th-12th century AD Byzantine shipwreck, while in real time the water and fish are removed and the same environment is digitally recreated, and the video with the amphoras is projected onto real time.
The pilot test of the system in Alonissos was completed with pilot use of the application by users, both on land, using tablets during a training seminar organized for this purpose on 25/10, and at sea, on the following day on 26/ 10, with use of tablets via a georeferenced app while above the wreck on the surface of the sea.
Have a look at some snapshots during the missions for the pilot test of the system in Skopelos and Alonissos and the training seminar in Alonissos.
